I thought I would use this blog post to introduce myself.
My name is Hayley and I am a mum of two Noah aged 6 and
Florence who is one, wife to my amazing hubby Rob and a planner addict. I am
still really new to the planning community and I have got to say I am very impressed
at what I have seen so far.
I have just started a YouTube channel called a Girl Loves a Plan as well as this blog
where I will be showing hauls, plan with me’s and all things planner related.
Please feel free to check it out here and subscribe. I’d be ever so grateful
and am always open to suggestions on videos.
This post really got me thinking who I am as a person and since
having children I feel I have lost that along the way. I used to be such a
confident person but now the thought of meeting new people terrifies me.
Writing this blog and setting up a YouTube channel is a massive step and
planning has allowed me and given me the confidence to do so.
It got the cogs whirring though as I sit here writing and
planning my week. I suffer from anxiety and find planning calms me down and
keeps me on track. After joining a few groups on Facebook and Instagram I have
noticed a lot of us have some sort of anxiety, depression or mental illness. So
it got me thinking why we all chose planning?
I love the fact something so silly to others can help so
many people and we can all talk about it openly. Would we be able to do that in
a non planning community? After all we are all strangers really. It is so nice
to see so many people help and reassure one another.
Due to people being so nice and friendly I plucked up the
courage to go to my first planner meet in Manchester. The girls were so nice
and all very welcoming putting me at ease straight away. Was it because we all
shared a common interest that I felt so relaxed?
Whatever it was I’m so glad I found out about the planning community and it can
help so many people. Long may it continue and I would recommend to anyone.
I will be going to have a look at your YouTube channel x
